122-25 27.07. 05:25 FR - Verkehrsunfall | Zu einem kuriosen Einsatz wurden die First Responder, zusammen mit einem Rettungs- und einem Streifenwagen, am frühen Sonntagmorgen in die Salzer Südstraße gerufen. Auslöser war das E-Call-Notrufsystem eines hochmotorisierten SUV. Die Besatzung des ersteintreffenden Vorausfahrzeugs der Weltersburger Feuerwehr fand vor Ort einen SUV, der ca. 70m hinter dem Ortseingang Salz, am Beginn des Wohngebietes "Südstraße", gegen eine Gartenmauer geprallt war. Alle Airbags hatten ausgelöst, Personen waren im oder um das Fahrzeug herum nicht zu erkennen. An dem Fahrzeug waren obendrein keine Kennzeichen angebracht. Da den Einsatzkräften auf der Anfahrt kurz zuvor eine Person aufgefallen war, die zu Fuß in Richtung Tongrube Salz unterwegs war, wurden umgehend 2 weitere Streifenwagen zur Nahbereichsfahndung hinzugezogen. Gleichzeit wurden die für Salz zuständigen Feuerwehren Herschbach und Meudt nachalarmiert, da Öl und Kraftstoff aus dem PKW direkt in einen Abwasserschacht liefen. Nach einer knappen halben Stunde konnte die Polizei den mutmaßlichen Fahrer des SUV in der Feldgemarkung aufgreifen. Ersten Ermittlungen zufolge ist er nicht im Besitz einer gültigen Fahrerlaubnis. |

084-25 10.05. 07:42 G2.03 - ausgelöster CO Melder | Am Samstagmorgen stellten die Rettungskräfte im Rahmen eines Notarzteinsatzes (Einsatz 083-25) eine erhebliche Konzentration an tödlichem Kohlenmonoxid-Gas in der Garage eines EFH fest. Die Rettungsleitstelle Montabaur alarmierte daraufhin die Feuerwehren Guckheim, Weltersburg und Westerburg. Die Garage wurde mit dem Überdrucklüfter der Weltersburger Wehr belüftet und anschließend von der FF Westerburg freigemessen. |

Um 05:47Uhr wurde für alle Feuerwehreinheiten der VG Westerburg, Rennerod, Bad Maienberg und Hachenburg Vollalarm ausgelöst. Grund hierfür war ein großflächiger Stromausfall ab ca. 4:40 Uhr. In der Folge hatten rund 40.000 Haushalte keinen Strom, größtenteils keine Heizung und teilweise sogar keine Wasserversorgung. Mehrere Alten- und Pflegeheime so wie das DRK-Krankenhaus Hachenburg waren ebenfalls betroffen.
